Pics from Shower

I had my shower this weekend (2/21) and it was so much fun. Laurima & Amanda went out of their way... everything was so cute, food was great - cake was adorable! I couldn't have asked for anything better. I got so many cute things - I have the greatest friends...
Michael couldn't believe how much stuff he had to unload :) Then I went through everything again & showed him all of the little outfits & things. I sorted the clothes by "age" and can't wait to put them away.
The best surprise was that they hooked up my mom to skype - and had her on the laptop w/ webcam so she could see me open my gifts. It was so cool - I miss her tons. Then she had them play this Martina McBride song "in my daughter's eyes" made me and the entire room cry! I can't imagine the emotion I'm going to feel when I meet my daughter for the first time face-to-face.
This is one of the greatests gifts God has given me (us) and I feel soooo thankful/blessed to be experiencing this. So here are some pics from the shower. I feel so thankful!
The baby weights 3.75 lbs and is approx 16.7" long. She still moves a ton (including hiccups)... I haven't quite noticed a pattern yet... but she does good through the night - when I wake up in the morning, she starts moving pretty early. I have a lot of work to do in the nursery & just REEALLLY want to get it done. We also have to get our house back on the market - I don't want it to sit! More to come :)

Can you tell I was thrilled to take this pic? I was 24 weeks here w/ a "prosthetic" belly (as some people say). Gotta upload the newer ones.

28 weeks & counting...

So I thought I'd be better about updating our blog... I'm not 28 weeks and 3 days. 12 weeks to go! This little girl is very active & moves all the time (she's moving right now!) My next appt is this Friday & I'm looking forward to the check-up. I have been having a lot of braxton hicks contractions so they'll have to check to make sure everything is "sealed up" properly (oh what fun that will be).

We're definitely anxious to start getting settled and get the nursery set up. I have to pick out my fabric, but so far... found a glider, was given a changing table, dresser & just gotta get the crib.

Sometimes I wonder how the dogs will adjust to the new baby. I'm sure Rosie will act like a "nanny" and Zeus will probably be cautious & jealous :) but he'll love her.

I'm gaining more weight and pretty much eating what I want. Lately, cereal is still a favorite snack (like coco pebbles, fruit loops, coco puffs) all the good stuff :) Popcorn, kiwis, & brownies have been some others (oh, and icecream & candy). Why can't I crave just fruit & veggies???

We're still undecided on names. I don't even know if we've made progress. I have a feeling this little girl will come & we'll still be debating names! Will post updated pics soon. -Kim

Baby Adamski is a Girl!!!

We found out today, we're having a little GIRL. Michael predicted from the beginning that it was a girl - and he was right! :) We're SOOO excited and look forward to meeting her in April. No names picked out yet - and we will keep it a secret anyway. Belly shots to be added later (yes, I'm popping out now!)

20 week UltraSound! What is Baby Adamski?

Tomorrow is my 20 week ultrasound. We get to see the baby and find out if it's a boy or girl! I like not knowing (right now), but it will be exciting to find out. I feel the baby move more & more - everything is starting to really sink in :) We'll post more tomorrow...

Happy Thanksgiving

For those who don't yet know (I'm sure everyone does by now) but Michael and I are expecting our first child on (or around) April 19, 2009! We are so excited & enjoying this new phase of life. We found out 8/11/08 - first appt 9/9/08 and got to see our little 'bean' for the first time. For this, we are extremely thankful!

I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant. I am starting to show & sometimes wear maternity clothes. I've been feeling the baby move (usually at night when I'm sitting still, and a few times throughout the day). Michael felt the baby move a week ago (just light taps!) I've been feeling really good. I just can't believe time is going so quickly. Next week will be my 1/2-way mark! 20 weeks. We will also get to find out if we're having a boy or girl. We started a registry at Burlington Coat Factory, but will probably add a 2nd one soon (can't find everything we like at one place).

Our excitement for the week was me taking a trip to the Urgent Care... 2 weeks ago, I was watering plants @ the condo & was wiping some water off of our wood banister. This giant log of wood go stuck in my fore-finger (palm-side middle knuckle). I quickly pulled it out but realized a chunk was still inside. I tried & tried, but couldn't get it out. 2 days later, the hole closed up - and we went to urgent care for them to cut it out (it wasn't your average splinter). The Dr. didn't get it out... 2 weeks later, this thing is totally sealed up in my finger & buggin me to death. We went back to Urgent Care - I told him I wasn't leaving till he got this thing... 1/2 hour later, he got it! It was pretty significant, I was just glad my "major surgery' was over. That night, after the "numbing" wore off - I felt like my finger was crushed & couldn't sleep. Even today (Monday) my finger has no feeling, it's swollen like a hot-dog and it hurts! All that for a dumb "splinter" :( See, our lives are SO exciting...

Anyway, we hope everyone has an awesome Thanksgiving. Keep us in your prayers. We're still trying to sell the condo & Michael looking for a new opportunity. Will post more later!
