Happy Thanksgiving

For those who don't yet know (I'm sure everyone does by now) but Michael and I are expecting our first child on (or around) April 19, 2009! We are so excited & enjoying this new phase of life. We found out 8/11/08 - first appt 9/9/08 and got to see our little 'bean' for the first time. For this, we are extremely thankful!

I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant. I am starting to show & sometimes wear maternity clothes. I've been feeling the baby move (usually at night when I'm sitting still, and a few times throughout the day). Michael felt the baby move a week ago (just light taps!) I've been feeling really good. I just can't believe time is going so quickly. Next week will be my 1/2-way mark! 20 weeks. We will also get to find out if we're having a boy or girl. We started a registry at Burlington Coat Factory, but will probably add a 2nd one soon (can't find everything we like at one place).

Our excitement for the week was me taking a trip to the Urgent Care... 2 weeks ago, I was watering plants @ the condo & was wiping some water off of our wood banister. This giant log of wood go stuck in my fore-finger (palm-side middle knuckle). I quickly pulled it out but realized a chunk was still inside. I tried & tried, but couldn't get it out. 2 days later, the hole closed up - and we went to urgent care for them to cut it out (it wasn't your average splinter). The Dr. didn't get it out... 2 weeks later, this thing is totally sealed up in my finger & buggin me to death. We went back to Urgent Care - I told him I wasn't leaving till he got this thing... 1/2 hour later, he got it! It was pretty significant, I was just glad my "major surgery' was over. That night, after the "numbing" wore off - I felt like my finger was crushed & couldn't sleep. Even today (Monday) my finger has no feeling, it's swollen like a hot-dog and it hurts! All that for a dumb "splinter" :( See, our lives are SO exciting...

Anyway, we hope everyone has an awesome Thanksgiving. Keep us in your prayers. We're still trying to sell the condo & Michael looking for a new opportunity. Will post more later!
