18 months is such a significant milestone. For me - it feels like my baby is "officially" a toddler. She will always be my baby - but she's becoming a little independent lady and I just LOVE her to pieces.
I took her in for her 18 month appointment this morning. She did great! She's 22.8 lbs, 32.5" tall (75th percentile - thank-ya Jesus... Michael's genes are helping). Her head was 18.5" - that's how long she was when she was born! She's right on track with her speech & development. She had a vision test today, sat thru it (eye patch, and wires attached to head and all) like a champ. She got one last shot (the part we hate) - and won't have to have another until she's 4.
(playing w/ her eye patch from the vision test)
The Dr. talked about preparing her for potty-training. Really? Already? I might be one of the only parents that actually doesn't mind dealing with diapers... but, I guess it's time to shop for a potty. Doesn't hurt to practice right? Eventually we'll make the transition.
***Little milestone updates: Aislynns bi-cuspids (i-teeth) popped thru on the top left & top right Ais signed "mama" for the first time 10/6 - and kind of said "love you" by saying "Ya-Ya" when she repeated me before bedtime last night. She also said "papa" las tnight.
I love how she fell asleep w/ her hand on her glow worm :)
I attempted to update this blog a couple weeks ago - and just now getting around to finishing.
Aislynn (wanting to be a big helper) got into Zues' dog food - Zeus wasn't complaining...
(This is SUCH a Michael face...)
Fun @ the park:
Aislynn's first braid! :)
Trying curlers
Sunday, we got together @ Kaci's house to hang out and get our little munchkins together in their Halloween costumes. It was fun and pretty entertaining to watch 10 adults herding 6 munchkins with a million toys to play with. Aislynn's grandma is still making her Minnie Mouse costume - so we had to improvise and dressed her as a cheerleader. With meltdowns in site - we quickly snapped a pic of the Fab5 (preggo posse) - can't believe they are so big!
Left to Right:
Emma Grace - Butterfly, Aislynn - Cheerleader, Parker - Nemo, Nate - DJ Pauly, Alaina - Cat
And there goes Nate...
T-minus 5 seconds to meltdown...
Emma Grace & Aislynn - way to hang in there girls!
I'm super excited b/c my mom is coming into town this Thurs eve. She's going to help me do a cleaning/organizing overhaul on my house and just hang out for a long weekend. We've also got Michael's birthday coming up this Saturday followed by Halloween! I'm sooo looking forward to this weekend.
And.. before the month ends - I would really like to get Aislynn's 18 month pictures done. So much to do - never enough time!
