Father's Day recap

Michael got his Father's Day present early (last week) to compliment the "new ride" he's now driving around (see previous post).  I was kinda hoping he'd use his new basket of goodies to shine up my car :) Still working on that one.  Friday my dear friend Becca flew into Atlanta for a day before joining up with her family in 'somewhere'sville' GA.  She's 8 months pregnant with her first baby, so I enjoyed hanging out with her for a day, and feeling her baby move!  Oh, how I miss the bumps & waves of a growing baby in a nice round tummy.  :)
We thought Becca was going joining up with her family Saturday, but ended up staying till Sunday.  After church, we all went to lunch at Rafferty's (yummy food) - said goodbye to Becca - took naps, then went to say hi to MY dad (the best dad in the world - and not just saying that!).
(Aislynn looking cute as always in her Ron Jon threads)
It wasn't the most exciting spectacular Father's Day ever - just low key (nothing wrong with that, right?) I am super thankful for my hubby, the best dad to Aislynn, sweet, handsome, loving - so glad that he's my mate and baby-daddy.  Happy 2nd Father's Day babe.  Aislynn & I love you very much.
Our little scallywag is more mobile than ever - her walking has really improved - she's faster and more nimble!  Her favorite thing right now is to carry something in each hand while she walks - preferably 2 remotes.  She goes from place to place holding her remotes.  Then she'll stop to swap something out.  She also likes to play with her CD player and turn up the music.  A couple weekends ago, she took all the toys out of her toy bin, sat in it and turned up the music... I piled all the toys back on top of her (which she thought was so funny).  I love this little girl - She's awesome!

Sometime this week/weekend - I want to do a little art project with Aislynn to send to our sponsor child, Lidia, who lives in El Salvador.  Sometime I'll blog about her and how awesome it has been to sponsor her these past 4 years (through Compassion).  So far, Aislynn has tried finger paints and pudding art.  The pudding art she loved b/c she could eat it - the finger paint... not so much.  I got more paint on me just trying to keep Aislynn's hands from going in her mouth.  :)  I think we may have a future rock-climber on our hands b/c she's already starting to climb on top of things.  She has this pink trunk in her room - so she'll walk over to it real fast, and throw her leg up - not just her knee, she goes straight to her foot like she's taking an enormous step up - and UP she goes with a little victory "smile" when she reaches the top.  I think it's going to be bruise season soon.  Here's Miss Aislynn helping us shop @ Publix:

It's officially Summer and its going to be a HOT one... oy!  So glad it's FRIDAY though!
